Lucio Fontana (1899-1968) foi um pintor nascido na Argentina. Um dos integrantes do movimento da arte povera.  E é um dos primeiros artistas que falam em arte conceptual, que privilegia a ideia. Levou às últimas consequências a reflexão sobre a espacialidade da pintura, "maltratando" a tela com furos e cortes que fazem com que o espectador tenha à sua frente uma obra tridimensional.Na tela podemos ver uma incisão feita pelo artista.
